Here's Our Story

Dubai Fragrance didn’t begin with a big business plan. It started with something much simpler: a genuine love for fragrance.

We became fascinated by the way a scent could change throughout the day, bring back a memory, boost your confidence, or simply make you feel good. But it wasn’t until we discovered Middle Eastern perfumery that fragrance became a real passion.

The richness, quality and incredible variety of these fragrances felt completely different from what we were used to seeing in stores around New Zealand. There were hidden gems, incredible fragrance houses and scents that could rival fragrances many times their price. We found ourselves constantly discovering something new and wanting other people to experience it too.

It started with friends and family. They would smell what we were wearing, ask where it was from, and soon we were helping them find fragrances that suited their personality, style and budget. Seeing someone’s reaction when they found a scent they genuinely loved became one of our favourite parts of fragrance.

That’s where Dubai Fragrance really began.

What started as a personal passion has grown into a New Zealand owned and operated business trusted by fragrance lovers across the country, both online and in-store at Westfield Riccarton in Christchurch.

Even as we’ve grown, we’ve tried to keep the same approach we had from the beginning. We want you to feel comfortable asking questions, trying something different and getting genuine advice rather than simply being sold a bottle.

We carefully select fragrances we genuinely believe are worth sharing, with authenticity, quality and customer experience at the heart of what we do.

Because to us, fragrance is incredibly personal. Your signature scent might be completely different from ours, and that’s exactly what makes discovering it so special.
